Zoom class process
During Class - be alone in a distraction-free zone
For the duration of the class, it is your responsibility to be alone, in a distraction-free zone. We must do our best to maintain privacy for other Students and the class material. Additionally, a quiet learning environment is necessary for maintaining a focused space for meditation, breakout sessions, partner exercises, and other class activities. Thank you for doing your part to respect privacy and to help maintain a wonderful learning space together!
BEFORE THE CLASS STARTS:
***You will need a FREE zoom account: www.zoom.us
There will be a quick download that will allow you access to the courses.
You will find the Zoom meeting link on your CLASS PAGE, provided in your registration email when you signed up for the class.
New students: Please refer to your payment confirmation email for info regarding Zoom link info and/or CLASS PAGE . You will also receive an email ONE HOUR before the class starts with the needed details to access the session.
For ongoing classes: Please refer to your CLASS PAGE for the Zoom link info. For weekly classes, the Zoom meeting link is the SAME each week.
Please login 5-10 minutes before your class is due to start. You will automatically enter a Waiting Room. Be patient and once the meeting time arrives, you will be brought into the Meeting Room for the Class.
It is your responsibility to ensure you have access, use and familiarity with Zoom technology for successful participation in this course.
COMPUTER LOGIN AND CONTROLS
YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE ZOOM APPLICATION TO JOIN FROM YOUR COMPUTER.
Click on the link provided in your email registration (and/or CLASS PAGE) and follow prompts.
You will be asked to join the audio by computer - please join this. For Zoom instruction video, click here.
You will then be put into a virtual WAITING ROOM until the meeting is ready to start.
On joining the room, you will be MUTED, but please enable your camera for Video.
*** Using ear buds or a headset is highly recommended to avoid background noise.
NAVIGATING ZOOM ONCE YOU HAVE JOINED THE MEETING:
At the bottom of your screen you will have a menu bar if you hover on your screen with your mouse.
- 1st icon from left is your microphone (keep MUTED at all time, unless Willa asks you to unmute)
- 2nd icon from the left is your video. Please enable this
To Ask Willa questions: Click on PARTICIPANTS, and then go to raise your hand.
Chat: Click on CHAT to chat with the other participants. Please come in and say hello and let us know where you are in the world
TABLET OR Smart PHONE LOGIN AND CONTROLS
YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE ZOOM APPLICATION TO JOIN FROM YOUR TABLET OR PHONE.
You will be asked to join the audio by WIFI or DATA - please join this.
You will then be put into a waiting room until the meeting is ready to start.
On joining the room you will be MUTED, but please enable your camera.
NAVIGATING ZOOM ONCE YOU HAVE JOINED THE MEETING with Tablet or Smart Phone:
At the TOP of your screen you will have a menu bar.
You will see … at the top right, click on that to ‘raise your hand’ to ask a question
Please enable your video upon entry.
Click on CHAT to chat with the other participants. Please come in and say hello and let us know where you are in the world.
